KDE 4.4.2 SC was released on 30 March 2010. KDE SC 4.4.2 has a number of improvements:
- Possible crashes in Plasma, Dolphin and Okular have been fixed
- The Microblog applet now shows the correct time in the timeline
- The audioplayer KRunner plugin has been fixed to not freeze the KRunner UI anymore
Mandriva 2010.0 was shipped with KDE 4.3.2 and KDE 4.4.2 was available only in the cooker section for the upcoming spring edition of Mandriva 2010.1. I just wanted to quickly give it a spin on my main desktop which is running Mandriva 2010.0 x86-64. Write Comment (0 comments) |

This article is an update to the last article that I've written for Mobile Broadband on Mandriva 2009.0. The Network Center has gone through a good overhaul in our shiny new Mandriva 2010.0. I'm going to show you all how ridiculously easy it is in Mandriva to configure your USB 3G Modem in a KDE 4.xx environment
Please follow the instructions and screenshots below.

This article shares my experience in implementing a iSCSI based SAN storage in RHEL 3 environment. This article doesn't warrant that your SAN solution will work perfectly if you follow the instructions in this article. These are merely my personal experiences, my own way of implementing the storage and may not be acknowledged by DELL or EMC. You must have their appointed SAN Experts to design and deploy your storage. I recently had an opportunity to play around with a DELL|EMC AX150i on a HP Compaq Server running RHEL 3 Update 8. I've done the following in sequence to get the storage up and running in the Linux Environment. Write Comment (0 comments) |

Instead of checking for the Mandriva daily available updates manually, I've created this Bash script to do my job. You may have your own method of updating your Mandriva system but this script is for newbies who would like to play with Mandriva's URPMI utilities and a little bit of cron job.
